Our Founders

Todd Howatt and Kelly Ray launched Maximum Physical Therapy + Sports Wellness in May 2014, drawing on their prior collaboration at an outpatient PT clinic where Todd was the director and Kelly filled a versatile role managing rehab, front office tasks, and billing. Their objective was to establish a welcoming, professional outpatient orthopedic clinic renowned for its excellent care.

After nurturing their initial clinic in Hoover, AL for seven years, they expanded with a new clinic in Alabaster in February 2021 and then Pelham in August 2023. This expansion was made possible with the dedication of highly skilled clinicians and support personnel who make treating patients first priority.
